Bonnie Ingram
A curious, compassionate, and nurturing Psychologist.
Helping you discover fulfilling ways to live!
Bonnie is a curious, compassionate, and nurturing psychologist, whose experience has led her to develop an interest in intimate attachment and relationships. Homo-Sapiens are neurobiologically designed for emotional connection.
Intimate connection is fundamental to being human and essential to well-being. Bonnie’s passion is for helping couples, individuals and their partners, to discover happy and fulfilling ways to live and love.
Qualifications and Background
Bonnie graduated with a Bachelor of Psychology with Honours from Griffith University in 2013. Bonnie has worked in a variety of settings including government and the community sector with individuals, couples, and families before beginning private practice.
Bonnie has worked in a variety of areas including the treatment of forensic/criminogenic needs, mood disorders, trauma, relationship issues, supporting LGBTQIAP+ needs, and workplace stress. Her interest in relationships was born of the experience of witnessing both the potential for harm of relationship trauma and unhealthy patterns of attachment, with the capacity for healing and fulfillment that can occur when individuals and couples learn new ways of relating with their loved ones.
Evidence-based therapies
Bonnie is an accredited provider of Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT). CPT remains the gold standard evidence-based treatment available for recovery from trauma and complex trauma. She has also done foundational training in Schema Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing (although does not use these as her primary methods of therapy).
Please be aware that while Bonnie has taken training in the Gottman Method Couples Therapy, she is completely independent in providing clinical services and is alone fully responsible for those services. The Gottman Institute or its agents have no responsibility for the services you receive via Bonnie Ingram Psychology.
